History: Born in the east his family was never financially stable. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Halflings in the east were limited. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent father; and doesn't want to be a carter and was forced into it by his family

History: When she was but 7 years old her parents immigrated from the south. Because her father participated in the massacre of their homeland, orcs burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. She was preparing to flee to the south, but the outbreak of war prevented her and her mother from journeying south to reunite her family. She now spends her time doing works of charity.

Motivation: A deep hatred of orcs; and revenge

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Thorin grew up listening to his mother's many stories. His mother was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.
