She was a general practitioner in the west for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way south. She's also a talented Dyer, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Her father was a soldier and died while she was still young. Astaro was left her father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. She now mingles about in high society.
