History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Elven companion (his 'brother'). He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Personality: He is a melancholic, but persistent worker. He resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. Animals are drawn to him, and he is able to talk to them.

History: Oppleby hails from a village terrorized by drow. In his 10th year, his parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving Oppleby alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has dedicated himself to building a better trade route.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion; and he wants to meet his childhood hero
