After coming to the age of reason, Qualen took it upon himself to study the divine arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. After a long history of fighting, Qualen and his spouse have recently divorced.

Description: A woman with a calm yet intense air about her, she wears dull brown sweaters, loose violet pants, and alligator leather shoes. Beneath her sweater she keeps a concealed shortspear, just in case. Her golden hair has been sun bleached extensively. Her face is full, her cheeks are rosy, and she always seems to sport a perfect smile and a twinkle in her brown eyes.

Personality: She is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of her strength. She works very hard to maintain that gentleness. She is a logical person and will generally grow upset if things defy logic and science.

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. While studying, she fell in love. They married and had a daughter. Some 10 years later her spouse died after the birth of her daughter. Heartbroken, Susannah never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her daughter whom she trained as her mother had trained her before.

She is missing an eye and her face is severely sunburned. Her one remaining eye shines green.

Personality: She's a bit of a prankster. She knows she is clumsy and seen as such and will often feign amnesia after injury. Her home and work are filled with various knick knacks she has acquired through the years. She cares a great deal for her adopted teenage son.

History: Trained by her father for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. Her first spouse was a Butcher, they had one son, but her spouse won total custody. Without her spouse to temper her she grew out of control. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her sons to still be retired.

Motivation: To unite with her brother; and regain custody of her son

Personality: She is not truly malevolent, but she is obsessed with writing. She constantly tries to fill her life with writing. She is accommodating to her spouse and as such limits her hospitality. She is brave and levelheaded in the face of danger and has proven herself a capable leader.

History: When she was but 4 years old her parents immigrated from the south. Her mother took her hunting and taught her how to get in the mind of other creatures. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
