When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Aristocrat in service of a powerful lord somewhere. She found a children's book about a Half-Orc Aristocrat who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She has became unsatisfied with her lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

History: He was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family Bertram was born on a far southern desert where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Miller. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and to reunite with his old friends

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. He always admired druidic-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.
