History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Daar was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Daar grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Daar. She used her abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

History: Born in the west his family was never financially stable. Thomas was born on a far western plains where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Fletcher. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. From her teen years she was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on her. By chance she met her sister recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: She wants to meet her childhood hero; and she desires power and/or immortality

History: She was raised by priests from a young age. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. She was granted martial powers by her dying sister.

Motivation: She is compelled to act according to her religious beliefs; and she has a rivalry with the church that dominates her actions
