Personality: He is irascible and easily irritated. He loves being with his children and actually smiles when they are around. He would do anything for them. He dislikes his ex a great deal.

History: Qualen hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. Through the years after Qualen was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Qualen's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.

History: Aura lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the west, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the west for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way east. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her daughters to still be retired.
