Personality: She is a very philanthropic person; she spends her free time working at various soup kitchens. She is obsessed with a lost civilization.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when giants swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. She made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. She became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: Many giants want her driven away.

Personality: Calm and collected, he is a well trained Dyer. He refers to his adoptive father for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: He was born in a small plains village. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a son. He now owns his own business.

Motivation: His relatives are trying to arrange a marriage; and balancing his hectic life and new dyer responsibilities is difficult

History: Susannah lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. In her 14th year, her parents were killed by a goblins raid, leaving Susannah alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has since lost track of the people in her past.
