History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He became a Blacksmith soon after.

Motivation: He's in love; and balancing his hectic life and new blacksmith responsibilities is difficult

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Damien was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times.
