Because his mother participated in the massacre of their homeland, goblins burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the north, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his father from journeying north to reunite his family. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.
