History: He was born in the north. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

Personality: She has a massive crush on the younger sibling of the Bowyer who has hired her part-time. She lacks moral complications. She does what she is told to by employers but not much else. She spends her money on whatever she fancies at the time.

History: She was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for her. It may also be what makes her so good at details. A gifted student she started as a Brewer, but she got bored and became a Bowyer. She tends to her Bowyer job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.

Motivation: She is unsatisfied with her job; and wants a kiss

Personality: He is overprotective of those who hire his services. He is a thrill seeker, he laughs at people and throws down challenges. He is highly competitive and combative.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: Wishes to resurrect an old love; and he's looking for his big break
