History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Ghaliver was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered painting. He has never given up on his painting dream.

Personality: He is curt in most of his responses. He prefers to keep his word usage to a minimum to avoid giving away unnecessary information. He has a taste for the finer things and spends a great deal of money on luxuries, some more exotic than others.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He was an apprentice working in his father's forge. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: She is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. She has a minor phobia of water and hates getting wet.

History: Brakka was born with her father's beautiful face. Her mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her mother was legitimate. After a long history of fighting, Brakka and her spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: She has a rivalry with the Church that dominates her actions; and she is compelled to act according to her religious beliefs
