History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and she desires to right it; and someone believes her a fraud

Description: A woman with a calm yet intense air about her, she likes to wear darkened spectacles and heavy clothing, no matter the weather. She has moderate length chestnut hair. Her face is full, her cheeks are rosy, and she always seems to sport a perfect smile and a twinkle in her green eyes.

Personality: She is shy and timid. She has not had much interaction with people and is skittish around them. Malquis is a bit of a follower. Usually she is manipulated by her sisters into helping them out, but recently she has become more of a free agent.

History: She was born in the north. Her mother worked until she suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. She had to support her now crippled mother and took her mother's old job. She has been saving her money to try and buy her sister's freedom.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her sister; and her relatives are trying to arrange a marriage

Description: Her right side is far more bruised and cut up than her other. She wears a shirt that is too small, which lets her gut show, with a ratty tan coat over it. Her hair is always cut to a buzz. Her eyes are brown and catlike.

Personality: She is irritable and easily angered. She is a bit of a bully and is not afraid to use her stature and powers to intimidate and hurt. She refers to her adoptive mother for almost all things she is unsure about, which are numerous. She is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. Through the years after Ranala was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Ranala's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She now owns her own business.

Motivation: Expand her business; and doesn't want to be a shoemaker and was forced into it by her family

Personality: He considers himself the perfect gentleman. He makes a point to always show proper etiquette and frequently critiques the etiquette of others. He never wears the same outfit twice, unless he absolutely has to.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered poetry. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: He wants revenge against drow; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge
