His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Nicholas is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: When he was but 7 years old his parents immigrated from the north. A gifted student he started as a Gardener, but he got bored and became a Spice Merchant. He's also a talented Gardener, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She left for the west, certain she would find work there.
