History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Shamash alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: Roland hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate him. It was this clingy personality that held back his poetry career. He loves being with his children and actually smiles when they are around. He would do anything for them. He dislikes his ex a great deal.

History: Roland was born with his father's beautiful face. He found a children's book about a Human Bard who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

Personality: He is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends he is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy himself. Further he is a bit of a stoner and is frequently out of it.

History: Lamlis was born the youngest of three triplets. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He has since married many spouses, only to have them die. He claims to not be responsible.

Motivation: He would like to get married and retire; and he has a crush on the local tanner

Description: She is of a modest build and height, but she carries herself more imposing than she is. She tends to wear a red poncho over her likewise colored trousers and shirt. She has wavy silver hair. This hazel eyed southerner is not easily forgotten.

Personality: She resents people who mock her appearance or her, so she has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. She invented a lineage for herself and claims to be descended from several legendary heroes.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. From there she went from mercenary job to mercenary job. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: She feels that her past leaves her morally obligated to help; and wants to open a new tavern
