History: Arannis lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.

History: Gilkass was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Wizard, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Wizard in service of a powerful lord somewhere. Gilkass abandoned her home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. She survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. She did whatever it took for her to survive. She has dedicated herself to building a better world.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. A freak accident while working with his Engraver father left him crippled. During his travels, Bulzo and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Bulzo discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Bulzo fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.
