History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. Some 10 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Hobart never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his father had trained him before.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions.

History: He was born in the west. Because his mother participated in the massacre of their homeland, dire rats burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the west, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his father from journeying west to reunite his family. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it.
