History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His father was a mechanic, and taught him how to fix just about anything. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Personality: He is fixated on the number 4. He counts his steps and bites of food to keep in track with it. He seems to be used to being ignored and not questioned about it. He pushes his goals aggressively. He is also a coward if confronted.

History: Oren was raised in a hard working conservative environment. His childhood dream was to be a Adventurer, but he was a colossal failure. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: He is wracked by social anxiety; and he is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally

Description: With grey face paint in a stripe pattern across her face, she wears a shirt that is too small, which lets her gut show, with a ratty grey coat over it. Her brown hair is greying along the sides and has receded to reveal a widow's peak. She has green eyes and a grey hat with a black feather.

Personality: She can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. She has all her life been fascinated with writing.

History: She was born in the south, but her parents moved at a very young age to the north. Her father took her hunting and taught her how to get in the mind of other creatures. She has never given up on her writing dream.

Motivation: She has a rivalry with the Church that dominates her actions.

Description: Her skin has the orange glow of too much sun. She tends to wear a heavy leather apron. Coupled with her rolled up shirt sleeves this gives her a very relaxed look. Her long golden hair is drawn into a two foot long braid. Her fierce hazel eyes like to dwell on things.

Personality: Ella is a sociable creature first and foremost. She loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. She can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. She is underhanded and not above using her wealth and body to get others to do her bidding.

History: She got into the Cook business at a young age. In her formative years she discovered how persuasive she was. She began using that to her advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. She has achieved small success as a Cook.

Motivation: Retire the richest woman in the south; and she wants revenge against dire rats
