History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. In her formative years she discovered how persuasive she was. She began using that to her advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: Qualen was born with his father's beautiful face. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Description: Her right side is far more bruised and cut up than her other. She wears baggy black pantaloons and a brown scarf. She wears a Stetson hat to cover her moderate length blue hair. She has gleaming, smiling gold eyes.

Personality: Here is a woman who knows she is the smartest in the room. She talks down to others constantly. Her temper goes off on the smallest of things. She tends to lash out at those around her.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Rieta was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Being born in the north, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the north for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way south. By chance she met her brother recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: Her relatives are trying to arrange a marriage.
