Personality: He has schizophrenia that causes him to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. He is fiercely devoted to his father, and views his father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-brother.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Az-Rans was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Cursed with vampirism at a very young age, Az-Rans has worked very hard to control his curse. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

History: Gomory lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. A serious injury left her father unemployed and in need of constant care. Her family became saddled with debt trying to care for her infirm father. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: She is irascible and easily irritated. Her temper goes off on the smallest of things. She tends to lash out at those around her.

History: Born in the east to a Guard, Eloise learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. She worked as a nervous Guard and found it very stressful. She struck the Guard job and began her own company from there.
