History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Quarethon was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered writing. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.

Personality: Hubert wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Rogue, so he tries to act the part. He does a good job, for the most part... He is a big fan of imagination and believes people should spend more time reading and writing.

History: Hubert hails from a village terrorized by brigands. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
