It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

She is bundled in multiple layers and is prepared for a desert trek wearing a turban that covers her face most of the time. Her broad hat is riddled with cuts and holes. Her eyes are green and beady.

Personality: She has a massive crush on the younger sibling of the Painter who has hired her part-time. She misses her home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

History: She was born in the south. She moved from fad to fad and when she turned 15 she discovered music. She was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of freemasons.

Motivation: She has a crush on the local Healer.

Description: This exceptionally lanky man likes to wear darkened spectacles and heavy clothing, no matter the weather. His hair is long and brown with streaks of chestnut, and is pulled back with small white clips. His beard is chestnut, braided, and well cared for. His hazel eyes show the wear and tear of someone lonely with a great burden to carry.

Personality: He is always cheerful, even with a hangover, and is always willing to go through all sorts of trouble to help his friends. He considers everything a fun event and doesn't hold grudges. He refers to his adoptive mother for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: Brogg lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. A freak accident while working with his Ploughman mother left him crippled. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.

Motivation: He made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and regain custody of his daughter

Description: Standing 3'1", this woman wears rags and sports a simple walking cane. Her moppish blonde hair is in a traditional bowl cut. Her fierce violet eyes like to dwell on things.

Personality: She is a woman who does what she needs to. She will acquiesce to black mail and extortion to avoid trouble. She works hard and plays hard.

History: Trained by her father for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. She helped her father out around the business and became quite the natural. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Miner for hire.

Motivation: She loathes her own lifestyle; and she is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences her actions
