History: Shifting was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her father was employed at, doing general labor. She worked as a nervous Navigator and found it very stressful. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: A child with a great deal of writing talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. Through the years after Tordek was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Tordek's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He has had some formal writing training, and achieved minor success. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and he feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help
