History: He was born into a rich family. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Halflings in the west were limited. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her mother and father. Her mother taught her the rudiments of the Map Maker arts, while her father instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Map Maker. She tends to her Map Maker job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.

History: Bertram was born the youngest of three triplets. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. He has never given up on his writing dream.
