History: Smoking hails from a village terrorized by brigands. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother; and to reunite with his absent mother

Personality: Aside from being a little slow due to sleep deprivation she is generally quite perceptive. She notices little details and can draw good conclusions from them. She invented a lineage for herself and claims to be descended from several legendary heroes.

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. Pearl abandoned her home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. She survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. She did whatever it took for her to survive. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: An old rival family wants her found; and doesn't want to be a tanner and was forced into it by her family

History: Thodris was raised in a hard working conservative environment. She helped her mother out around the business and became quite the natural. She left for the north, certain she would find work there.
