History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. He became a Knight soon after.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Knight responsibilities is difficult; and he desires power and/or immortality

History: She was born in the west, but her parents moved at a very young age to the north. In her 18th year, her parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving Mara alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge; and revenge
