History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Jarana was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: She fancies herself a trickster and likes to rely on her wits to carry the day. She cares for her older siblings and likes to be recognized by them. She is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes her no end of embarrassment.

History: The child of southern immigrants she idolized her mother. Since her mother passed away years ago, her father had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Jeweler they were divorced and she won custody of their son. She worked as a Unemployed, and she later adopted a second son.

Motivation: Marry her sister to traveling adventurers; and her relatives are trying to arrange a marriage

Description: A man of a pale complexion, he tends to wear a heavy leather apron. Coupled with his rolled up shirt sleeves this gives him a very relaxed look. His scarlet crest is unkempt and raggedy. His red eyes peer out from beneath his top black hat.

Personality: Calm and collected, he is a well trained Carpenter. His philosophy is that everyone needs a friend and as such shows hospitality towards all.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Nykkan grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Nykkan. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Motivation: Expand his business; and he is a bit of a kleptomaniac

Personality: Soft-spoken and well mannered, she has an amazing amount of patience and a slow boiling temper. She is harsh and unforgiving.

History: Engong hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. Over the years she perfected her riding and shooting skills. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge; and someone believes her a fraud
