History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when brigands swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Her mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her mother was legitimate. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by brigands. Birel was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the brigands.

History: Ulla was raised in a hard working conservative environment. When the war came and ruined her parents she was left adrift. She was a hard woman then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.

Motivation: She would like to get married and retire; and balancing her hectic life and new map maker responsibilities is difficult

History: Born in the west to a Mayor, Baern learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. He worked as a nervous Mayor and found it very stressful. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.
