History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the north. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Tarak grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Tarak. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: He possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal; and he feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. A freak accident while working with her Map Maker father left her crippled. She has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: Retire the richest woman in the south; and meet up once more with her childhood friend
