History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. Through the years after Baern was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Baern's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Personality: Here is a man who knows he is the smartest in the room. He talks down to others constantly. He has all his life been fascinated with writing.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.
