Personality: He is a melancholic, but persistent worker. He resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. Animals are drawn to him, and he is able to talk to them.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: Overbrimming with self-confidence, Dell isn't afraid of most anything. She has a strong dislike to people who do not believe in Halfling unity. She believes the world needs to unite to get rid of illithids once and for all.

History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. She went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Nothing but the best is good enough for her.

Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. He will do just about anything if he becomes convinced it is for someone's true love, of this he is easily convinced.

History: He was born into a rich family. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: Wants to work out more often; and money/treasure

Description: A man with a friendly, welcoming air about him, he dresses like a well dressed Spice Merchant does. He sports a long black beard, and similarly colored long hair. His blue eyes are slightly larger than normal.

Personality: Cocky and sure of himself, he believes he is the best Spice Merchant born in the past three hundred years. He constantly seizes attention wherever he goes and has come to expect this respect from everyone. He likes to think of himself as merciful, but nonetheless is very strict.

History: He got into the Spice Merchant business at a young age. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Spice Merchant.

Motivation: Wants to open a new tavern.
