History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. At a young age her father died while driving off some brigands. Her mother being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train her in mace use. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her sons to still be retired.

History: Gerard was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Sorcerer, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Sorcerer in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.
