Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Sammal is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. In his 12th year, his parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving Sammal alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: She fancies herself a trickster and likes to rely on her wits to carry the day. She cares for her older siblings and likes to be recognized by them. She would rather hide behind her crafts than deal with other people.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. Being born in the north, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the north for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way east. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Her spouse's relatives view her with great suspicion.

Description: She is constantly adorned with expensive silk clothing, often dyed in bright green and yellow, and wears rings and necklaces with large, colorful gems. Her attire stands in sharp contrast to her scythe, which is beautifully polished and possesses an ornate carving of a dagger on it. She has no crest. Her gold eyes have a joyful gleam in them most of the time.

Personality: Abrasive and pushy, she has a hard time making friends. She moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep her interest for a month it is impressive.

History: She was raised in a forest tribe. She sought a place where she would be rewarded solely on the merits of her skills. This search led her directly into Sage work with an outfit from a few towns over. Sage work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: He is fixated on the number 14. He counts his steps and bites of food to keep in track with it. He seems to be used to being ignored and not questioned about it. He misses his home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. His childhood dream was to be a Actor, but he was a colossal failure. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Spice Merchant for the past few years.
