History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

Barrister work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. She's also a talented Navigator, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Personality: He considers himself a man of culture and sophistication. He likes a good challenge to his wits. He enjoys reading and quiet.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Halflings in the east were limited. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and nothing but the best is good enough for him
