History: Gifted from a young age, Astar studied abroad. Astar was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Astar decided he wanted neither the life of his father nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. He was granted martial powers by his dying sister.

Her auburn hair is thinning but still full. Judging by the bloodshot nature of her eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine she has not slept for days.

Personality: She can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. She has no love for corruption and racketeering and views those as crimes of the highest magnitude.

History: A child with a great deal of writing talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. She moved from fad to fad and when she turned 15 she discovered writing. She hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Motivation: To pay off her debts; and to get a good night's sleep

Description: She is a small woman, but exceptionally fit. She is well dressed, constantly wearing a black suit, pastel shirt, and green tie. She wears her red hair up in a very large beehive style do. Her eyes are brown and catlike.

Personality: Prone to second guessing herself, she comes off as nervous. She is fiercely devoted to her mother, and views her mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating her from her legal half-brother.

History: Trained by her mother for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. A serious injury left her mother unemployed and in need of constant care. Her family became saddled with debt trying to care for her infirm mother. She has been saving her money to try and buy her brother's freedom.

Motivation: Her relatives are trying to arrange a marriage.

Description: A middle-aged man, he wears well tailored suits and hats with beautiful decoration. He is almost always dressed for an outing in high society, and is pretty ugly. His hair, while still mostly black, has prominent grey streaks. He wears an eyepatch.

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. A fanatic, his devotion to his small selection of gods is unquestionable. He claims to be doing their will and will base all his actions on whether or not they would be pleasing to the gods.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it; and he is greedy
