Personality: She is a melancholic, but persistent worker. She resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. Animals are drawn to her, and she is able to talk to them.

History: Volen was born with her mother's beautiful face. Her necromantic abilities were realized during a raid on her village. She is untrained/undisciplined, which makes her dangerous.

Through the years after Drifting was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. History: He was born in the north, but his parents moved at a very young age to the south. Darrow was born on a far northern forest where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Mercenary. He's also a talented Spice Merchant, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and balancing his hectic life and new mercenary responsibilities is difficult
