History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Quarethon was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Over the years he perfected his riding and shooting skills. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: He will attempt to ambush and attack anyone he thinks he can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, he will try to sell them to his slave-trader contact; and to reunite with his absent father

History: The child of western immigrants she idolized her father. Through the years after Pyntle was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Pyntle's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Pyntle and her spouse have recently divorced.

History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. She has had some formal writing training, and achieved minor success. She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.
