Description: This woman is bedraggled and starved. She wears a blue coat over a pastel low-cut shirt, and a feathered hat upon her head. Her silver hair is thinning but still full. Her eyes, though not visible through her cowl, are hazel.

Personality: She fancies herself a trickster and likes to rely on her wits to carry the day. She cares for her older siblings and likes to be recognized by them. She loves teas. She is very sensitive about her face. To blow off anger she lifts weights and to control her otherwise explosive temper she works out a lot.

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. Her father worked until she suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. She had to support her now crippled father and took her father's old job. She has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her brother.

Personality: She takes her job very seriously, in part because she fears she cannot get a new one. She has a taste for the finer things and spends a great deal of money on luxuries, some more exotic than others.

History: Gifted from a young age, Mardred studied abroad. Like her mother and her brother before her, after school she went straight into learning to become a Unemployed. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Unemployed for hire.

Motivation: To settle down with her crush; and she'd like to take her coworkers down a peg

Description: A middle-aged woman, she prefers to wear flannel, and is pretty ugly. Her hair is long and blonde with streaks of black, and is pulled back with small grey clips. Her gray eyes have a joyful gleam in them most of the time.

Personality: She is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. A true patriot, Jane would do anything for her country. She is fiercely protective of her fellow citizens and foreign allies.

History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the west. Her father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her father was legitimate. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: She is compelled to act according to her religious beliefs; and she has a rivalry with the church that dominates her actions
