Shaena was horrified and prayed that her father was alright. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the brigands.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Tarak's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. He was taken from his home at a very young age. He was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of freemasons.

Personality: He shows great sympathy to all travelers. He's the type to buy drinks and listen to their stories. He cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist he will grow angry at them.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Alston embodies much of what other species detest in the Gnomes. He invites people to come help in his community garden.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. He now mingles about in high society.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the south; and he has money and likes to spend it
