History: The child of a Butcher, who enjoyed hunting, Therlin was taken on many hunting expeditions. She was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. She is searching for what she claims is her rightful reward.

Motivation: To reunite with her old friends.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Cora embodies much of what other species detest in the Halflings. She pushes her goals aggressively. She is also a coward if confronted.

History: She got into the Bookbinder business at a young age. In her 20th year, while out on a day-trip, she returned to find her hometown burning and destroyed. She found her mother impaled in their home, and her father beheaded. She saw the woman who walked out, and charged her in a blind rage. The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. She left for the west, certain she would find work there.

History: When he was but 8 years old his parents immigrated from the east. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. He has never given up on his singing dream.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs; and he is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally
