History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. Manfred liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He now owns his own business.

She is the most sanctimonious self-righteous Gnome in existence. She has a taste for the finer things and spends a great deal of money on luxuries, some more exotic than others.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Zanna was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. She now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark.

Personality: Quiet and reserved he prefers to listen than to talk. He will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. He is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in his opinion.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Spice Merchant arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: He uses money and sex appeal to get what he needs.

Personality: Vadania wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Wizard, so she tries to act the part. She does a good job, for the most part... She is used to getting what she wants. In part because she is a meticulous planner.

History: She was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for her. It may also be what makes her so good at details. Cursed with unlife at a very young age, Vadania has worked very hard to control her curse. She left for the west, certain she would find work there.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Spice Merchant and was forced into it by her family; and to get a good night's sleep
