History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Hirrathak grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Hirrathak. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature trident.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Over the years she perfected her riding and shooting skills. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: She is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences her actions; and a rival would like her out of the picture

History: He was born at the edge of vast plains. A gifted student he started as a Unemployed, but he got bored and became a Fletcher. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
