History: He was born at the edge of vast forest. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He loathes his own lifestyle; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army
