Personality: He is a man who does what he needs to. He will acquiesce to black mail and extortion to avoid trouble. The war was a terrible time for him, and Igden does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: A powerful necromancer made him what he is. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his father's willingness to do anything to win. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and he feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help

History: Born to a Marshal, his mother struggled to pay the bills. His mother disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his mother, he was betrayed dozens of times. He has worked as a Fortune-teller like his mother before him.

Motivation: He is unsatisfied with his job.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. He was one of the best in his class, and was picked up by his current employer. He quickly showed his capability and was soon promoted to a head role. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.
