History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He now mingles about in high society.

Personality: Friendly and accommodating she would invite many more into her home than her spouse would be comfortable with if they did not express concern about it. The war was a terrible time for her, and Valanthe does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.

History: Trained by her mother for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. Through the years after Ombul was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Ombul's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has achieved small success as a Dyer.

Motivation: Wants to raise his children well; and marry his brother to traveling adventurers
