Recently a tribe of drow attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She now spends her time doing works of charity.

Motivation: She doesn't get along with people that don't share her tastes; and several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge
