Personality: She shows great sympathy to all travelers. She's the type to buy drinks and listen to their stories. To her fellows she is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: She was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. While she appears to be a normal Half-Elf, she's... not quite right. Perhaps she's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that she plain doesn't fit in. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: She was born at the edge of vast island. Her first spouse was a Bricklayer, they had one daughter, but her spouse won total custody. Without her spouse to temper her she grew out of control. She became a Bookbinder soon after.

He wears a shirt that is too small, which lets his gut show, with a ratty grey coat over it. His black hair is knotted and matted. His hazel eyes dart from person to person to random spaces in the air.

Personality: He does not believe in betrayal or weakness as things to be tolerated. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Painter but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: When he was but 6 years old his parents immigrated from the south. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally; and wants to raise his children well

Description: She has a missing left leg. She is well dressed, but even with her fine clothing she looks run-down. Her hair is chestnut, silky, and of moderate length. She wears crescent spectacles with a black brim.

Personality: She acts crazy and hedonistic. When she's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, she's doing poetry.

History: Veloptima lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the north, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the north for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way east. By chance she met her brother recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Beggar and was forced into it by her family; and her relatives are trying to arrange a marriage
