History: She was born in the west, but her parents moved at a very young age to the north. In her 18th year, her parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving Mara alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: This man loves singing and to teach people singing more than just about anything. The war was a terrible time for him, and Gildmak does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Gildmak was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared.
