History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. As a young child he wandered into the woods despite his father's warnings against it. Afterwards he claimed he had encountered illithids who tried to eat his hand. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Zephan was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the illithids.
