She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the north for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way west. She has been saving her money to try and buy her sister's freedom.

Motivation: Her relatives are trying to arrange a marriage; and doesn't want to be a dilettante and was forced into it by her family

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Ishte was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. Unlike her family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, she wanted to work in the city. She has been working here for the past few years.
